The Myth About AI — For Individuals
AI is not taking your job. It's giving you the tools to finally pursue your dreams while keeping your income.
In my last post, I explained how businesses should approach AI with confidence, not fear. In this post, I focus on the individuals who feel lost or left out — people affected by mass layoffs who are considering pivoting to non-technical careers just to remain relevant. I have good news for you: it's not over yet.
Before AI became the new gold, motivational speakers said things like 'Your salary is the drug your company gives you to prevent you from pursuing your dream' or 'You cannot be wealthy by being an employee.' These put people in a dilemma: either quit and begin their dreams, or quit dreaming and hold on to their jobs. The truth is you could have made either choice and be joyful or regretting it today.
But what matters now is: what can you do about it? Before AI, most employees had dreams they wished they had time or energy for but never got to do. Well, that's until now! AI is God's gift to man — God finally saying 'now you no longer have any excuse' because we finally have tools that can do the work we needed time and energy for.
Now we can finally focus on the things we really need to do — think, negotiate, and interact — and let this wonderful tool do the hard lifting. So stop thinking about the next field to pivot into and begin building that dream you've had so long in your heart by leveraging AI. AI didn't come to take your job. It came to help you achieve your dream while you keep your job.
That's the shift in perspective that changes everything. AI is a gift, not a threat. The people who thrive won't be those who avoid AI or fear it — they'll be those who harness it as a force multiplier for their ambitions while maintaining the stability of their current income.
